Prepry Learning Platform User Guide

Welcome to Prepry's Learning Platform User Guide. This resource will guide you through your Learning Platform experience in order to help you take full advantage of this administration tool. Create assignments, present in the classroom, understand the student experience, monitor performance through detailed reporting – this resource will walk you through each feature step by step.

Getting Started

Accessing the Platform

  1. Navigate to the Educators Portal

  2. Click the Educators icon on the left sidebar (represented by a teaching icon)

  3. You will be directed to the 'Cohorts' section

Cohort Management

Viewing Your Cohorts

  • Toggle between Active and Inactive tabs at the top of the page

  • View cohort information in the main table, including:

    • Cohort Name

    • Campus ID

    • Status

    • Number of Students

    • Actions (view/edit icons)

      • Use the eye icon to view detailed cohort statistics

      • Use the pencil icon to make changes to cohort settings

Student Performance Tracking

Cohort Dashboard Features

  1. Select your subject from the dropdown menu at the top

  2. View Overall Stats showing:

    1. Average Score

    2. High Score

    3. Low Score

    4. Standard Deviation

Score Distribution

  • View the bar chart showing student score distribution

  • X-axis displays score ranges (0-100%)

  • Y-axis shows number of students in each range

  • Toggle between Total and Mock Exam views

Student List View

  • See detailed student information including:

    • Student Name

    • Email

    • Mock Exam Average

    • Overall Average

    • Quick access to individual student stats

Individual Student Statistics

Progress Metrics

  • Learning: Number of questions currently being studied

  • Learned: Successfully completed questions

  • Remaining: Questions yet to be attempted

  • QOTD Average: Question of the Day performance

  • Overall Average: Combined performance across all assessments

  • Mock Exam Average: Performance in practice exams

Exam Domain Overview

  • Visual breakdown of progress in each exam domain

  • Color-coded progress bars showing completion

  • Detailed question counts for each domain

Performance Tracking

  • Interactive graph showing score progression

  • Toggle between All Exams and Mock Exams

  • X-axis shows timeline

  • Y-axis displays scores (0-100%)

Detailed History View

  • Comprehensive table showing:

    • Date of each attempt

    • Score achieved

    • Correct/Incorrect answers

    • Number of questions skipped

    • Total questions attempted

    • Time spent

    • Assessment type

    • Filter between All Exams and Mock Exams

    • Navigate through history using pagination

    • Adjust rows per page as needed

Tips for Effective Use

  1. Regularly monitor student progress through the dashboard

Assignment List Features

Assignment Types

  1. Study Sessions

    • Overview: Aimed at active learning, providing immediate feedback after each answer.

    • Tools Available:

      • Flashcards and Notes are enabled to help reinforce concepts.

      • Immediate feedback is provided to help with understanding after each attempt.

  2. Quizzes

    • Overview: Short assessments for evaluating topic-specific understanding.

    • Tools Available:

      • Flashcards and Notes are disabled to preserve assessment accuracy.

      • Immediate feedback is disabled, and results are shown after completion, similar to a real-time quiz experience.

  3. Mock Exams

    • Overview: Full-length practice exams designed to simulate the actual test environment as closely as possible.

    • Tools Available:

      • Flashcards and Notes are disabled to mimic real exam conditions.

      • Immediate feedback is disabled during the exam to maintain focus and ensure an uninterrupted, realistic test experience.

Creating and Managing Assessments

Creating a New Assignment

Select "Add Assignment" button

Complete the following steps:

1. Assessment Details

  • Choose exam subject

  • Set dates:

    • Start Date

    • Due Date

    • Lock Date - the last date the exam can be taken.

  • Enter basic information:

    • Title

    • Instructions

    • Assignment Type

      • 1. Study Sessions

        • Overview: Aimed at active learning, providing immediate feedback after each answer.

        • Tools Available:

          • Flashcards and Notes are enabled to help reinforce concepts.

          • Immediate feedback is provided to help with understanding after each attempt.

        2. Quizzes

        • Overview: Short assessments for evaluating topic-specific understanding.

        • Tools Available:

          • Flashcards and Notes are disabled to preserve assessment accuracy.

          • Immediate feedback is disabled, and results are shown after completion, similar to a real-time quiz experience.

        3. Mock Exams

        • Overview: Full-length practice exams designed to simulate the actual test environment as closely as possible.

        • Tools Available:

          • Flashcards and Notes are disabled to mimic real exam conditions.

          • Immediate feedback is disabled during the exam to maintain focus and ensure an uninterrupted, realistic test experience.

    • Visibility

2. Question Selection

  • Choose generation method:

    1. Different Random for Each Student
      Generates unique, randomized questions for each student individually.

    1. Same Random for All
      Generates the same set of randomized questions for all students.

    2. Custom Built
      Allows instructors to create a tailored set of questions based on specific requirements.

  • Set number of questions (1-300)

  • Configure settings:

    • Review options

      • After submission - The user can review the exam immediately after finishing.

      • After lock date - The user must wait until the due date to view the exam, which could be beneficial if the cohort is assigned the same exact task.

    • Time limit - Time is pre-selected for mock exams since they are mapped to the exam specifications. The others are selectable.

3. Review and Publish

  • Check assessment summary

  • Select students:

    • All students

    • Individual selection

    • Choose action:

      • Save Draft

      • Publish

Gradebook

The Gradebook provides a comprehensive view of student performance across all assessments. This powerful tool helps educators track and analyze student progress effectively.

Accessing the Gradebook

  • Navigate to the Gradebook tab at the top of your cohort view

  • Select the subject from the dropdown menu if needed

  • View class-wide statistics at the top of the page:

    • Average Score

    • High Score

    • Low Score

    • Standard Deviation

Understanding the Grade Table

  • Student information is organized in rows with:

    • Name: Student's full name

    • Cumulative Average: Overall performance percentage

    • Individual Exam Columns: Scores for specific assessments

      • Dates shown at top of each column

      • Individual scores displayed below

Using the Gradebook
