How Prepry Pricing Works: Monthly vs. Yearly Plans

What you actually pay for each plan, and why the yearly plan shows a smaller per-month price.

Written by Michael Zaladonis

Prepry offers more than one way to pay, and this article explains what you actually pay for each plan. It also clears up the most common point of confusion: the small per-month price you may see on the yearly plan.

The Plans

  • Monthly: You pay a set price each month (for example, $49.99 per month). It renews every month until you cancel.

  • Yearly: You pay for a full year in a single charge. It works out cheaper per month than the monthly plan, and it renews once a year until you cancel.

  • Lifetime (when available): A one-time payment for permanent access. It never renews and never needs cancelling.

Why the Yearly Plan Shows a Smaller Monthly Price

When you view the yearly plan, the app store or checkout page often shows it as a per-month figure (for example, "$17.99 per month") so you can compare it to the monthly plan side by side. That smaller number is the yearly price divided by 12. It is not a monthly charge.

With the yearly plan you are not billed that amount every month. You pay for the full year at once, in a single payment.

How to See What You Will Actually Be Charged

To find the real amount that will be charged today, look at the total or the "billed annually" line on the checkout screen, not the per-month breakdown.

Quick example: if the yearly plan shows $17.99 per month, the amount charged is $17.99 x 12 = $215.88, paid one time for the full year. You will not see a separate charge each month. Your exact price is shown at checkout and can vary by exam and store.

Which Plan Is Cheaper?

The yearly plan almost always works out cheaper per month than paying monthly, because you pay for a full year up front. The monthly plan costs more per month, but it lets you pay in smaller amounts and stop sooner.

Renewals and Cancelling

The monthly and yearly plans both renew automatically (monthly renews each month, yearly renews each year) so your access does not lapse. You can cancel either one at any time. After you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for, and you will not be charged again. Lifetime never renews, so there is nothing to cancel.
